About the Role

We are seeking an SRE Engineer to maintain and improve the reliability, security, and performance of a US-based cloud environment. The role covers cloud infrastructure operations, Kubernetes reliability, infrastructure automation, observability, and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, and storage.

  • Lead Tier 2 incident investigation and resolution, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
  • Optimize monitoring and alerting systems, and define service-level indicators (SLIs) and service-level objectives (SLOs).
  • Implement DevSecOps practices and local security policies, supporting security governance within the US environment.
  • Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.

  • Maintain runbooks, troubleshooting documentation, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and security.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems operations.
  • Hands-on experience with production Kubernetes and AWS or GCP.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and TCP/IP networking.
  • Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Scripting or programming experience in Python, Go, or Shell.
  • Experience troubleshooting production systems, handling incidents, and performing root-cause analysis.
  • Strong ownership and the ability to independently investigate and resolve operational issues.
  • Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English for collaboration across US and China-based teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in Santa Clara and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications, Information Security, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Compensation and On-Call
