Job Summary: The Site Reliability Engineer is an individual contributed and a full-stack developer on an Agile team who is primarily responsible for production support with a heavy leaning towards automation of redundant tasks, thereby reducing toil.

Job role and responsibilities:

• Ensure system reliability getting systems back to steady-state as quickly as possible
• Automate wherever possible - reduce toil
• Configure monitoring and logging of systems in order to obtain better visibility
• Help design processes that automatically evaluate system SLA
• Be proactive, identify and remediate issues before SLAs are violated
• Tool-agnostic and approach-centric
• Driving better cross-team collaboration - work with Product development team, DevOps group and Operations Job skills

Requirement:

• Java, Spring Boot
• JavaScript (React JS+/ Angular/ NodeJS)
• Python
• Containers, Kubernetes, Docker
• Application Servers such as Tomcat, WebLogic and WebSphere
• Messaging and Event Streaming Systems
• Expertise in Datadog is must.
• Experience in dealing with monitoring tools such as (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana).

Qualifications for the role include:

• 6+ years progressive software systems programming experience, at least 2 of which should involve experience utilizing Java/JEE technologies.
• 2+ years of Python programming is preferred
• Computer related Bachelors degree is preferred or equivalent work experience in software development
