The Role

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Site Reliability Engineer to oversee and shape the design, scalability, security, and efficiency of the organisations technical infrastructure. In this critical role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tech and Data, to build and maintain reliable infrastructure solutions while driving DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
• Manage, optimize, and maintain cloud-based servers, storage, and networking components.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Lead disaster recovery efforts and maintain business continuity plans.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes through robust DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to create and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Serve as the AWS and cloud expert within the team, optimizing the use of AWS services and staying updated on advancements.
• Drive the adoption of developer-friendly tooling, including automation for CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, implement robust disaster recovery plans, and ensure high availability of critical systems.

Desired Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an Infrastructure or DevOps engineering role.
• Expertise in designing and maintaining secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Confidence utilising AI tools to improve work efficiency
