Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Technology Solutions is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pathum Wan, Bangkok. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our critical infrastructure and systems. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will bridge the gap between software development and operations, implementing best practices that ensure our systems remain highly available and performant. Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure and systems architecture that supports high availability and disaster recovery requirements
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimise infrastructure for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational processes and reduce manual intervention
• Conduct incident response and post-incident analysis to identify root causes and implement preventative measures
• Collaborate with development teams to establish service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs), and work towards achieving them
• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to provide visibility into system health and performance
• Manage configuration management, version control, and deployment pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable releases
• Provide on-call support and participate in incident management rotations to address critical issues promptly
• Document infrastructure decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across teams
• Review and improve security practices, compliance requirements, and system hardening measures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in site reliability engineering, systems administration, or a related operational role
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Bash scripting
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and system administration
• Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, and DNS/load balancing
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar solutions
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure during critical incidents
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Preferred experience with database administration, message queuing systems, or caching solutions
• Preferred knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to infrastructure
