Site Reliability Engineer

Immediate Start | 3-month Contract | U.S Pacific Hours

A US HealthTech company needs an experienced SRE to join its operations group on a 3 month contract, starting as soon as possible. You will work alongside a small, senior ops team and the product engineers they support, keeping a production platform healthy while the team grows.

This is hands-on work from day one. You will be treated as a close part of the team, given real problems, and expected to communicate frequently with the team.

What you will do

• Run and maintain production Kubernetes clusters (EKS and AKS), including routine version upgrades

• Write and maintain Terraform for cloud infrastructure

• Own monitoring and alerting in Grafana: build dashboards, tune alerts, find problems before users do

• Support product releases, usually early evening US Eastern, 2 times a week (your shifts would start later on release days, keeping it an 8 hour day)

• Pick up infrastructure project work from the team backlog: resilience, disaster recovery, cloud cost

• Keep the team well-informed: clear written updates and early warnings

What you will bring

• 6+ years running production infrastructure on AWS (Azure a plus)

• Hands-on Kubernetes operations, including upgrades, in a live environment

• Terraform you have written yourself, not just run

• Grafana, Prometheus or similar, set up and tuned by you
