Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled SRE or DevOps Engineer to lead the migration and replacement of our legacy Moogsoft AIOps platform with PagerDuty . The ideal candidate will be responsible for redesigning our incident management workflow, setting up event orchestration, and ensuring a seamless transition with zero downtime to our live production monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Migration: Decommission Moogsoft and fully implement PagerDuty as our primary incident intelligence and alerting platform.
• Event Integration: Connect existing monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch) directly into PagerDuty.
• Noise Reduction: Configure PagerDuty Event Orchestration, deduplication rules, and alert suppression to minimize alert fatigue.
• Workflow Automation: Build automated incident response workflows, on-call schedules, escalation policies, and bidirectional chatops integrations (Slack/Teams).
• Documentation & Training: Create runbooks for the new system and train engineering teams on PagerDuty best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• PagerDuty Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience architectural design, event routing, and advanced configurations in PagerDuty.
• Moogsoft Knowledge: Familiarity with Moogsoft’s clustering, situation room, and ingestion logic to translate legacy rules into the new system.
• Observability Ecosystems: Strong understanding of how monitoring tools feed into incident management platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience managing PagerDuty configurations using Terraform is highly preferred.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go to utilize PagerDuty APIs for custom integrations.
