Must Have

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
• Strong Jenkins experience, including:
• CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
• OneTouch (automated) deployments
• Jenkins CLI administration and automation
• 5+ years of experience supporting AWS cloud environments
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Strong Linux and command-line troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting large-scale production platforms with high availability requirements

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Cloud Operations team supporting SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) within AWS. This team is responsible for maintaining the availability, reliability, and performance of a large-scale SaaS platform serving approximately 200 enterprise customers globally.

This is an operations-focused role centered on platform stability, automation, and cloud infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Kubernetes experience and be comfortable supporting production environments where uptime and customer experience are critical.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation, availability, and performance of the SAP Analytics Cloud platform
• Maintain highly available AWS infrastructure serving a global customer base
• Manage and provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Automate configuration management and operational processes using Ansible
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines within Jenkins
• Execute and manage OneTouch automated deployments through Jenkins
• Utilize Jenkins CLI and other command-line tools for administration, troubleshooting, and automation
• Monitor platform health and proactively address performance or availability issues
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve automation, reliability, and scalability
• Support approximately 200 enterprise customers by ensuring a stable, secure, and high-performing platform environment

Title : Sr. SRE (Sr. Kubernetes Platform Engineer)

Duration : 12mo contract, likely extensions or conversion to FTE

Setting / Schedule : REMOTE anywhere in the US, Mon-Fri day shift 'core hours'

Compensation : approx. $75-80/hr

Must Have

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Operations
• Hands-on experience deploying, administering, and supporting production Kubernetes environments
• Strong expertise with Git and Git-based operational workflows
• Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems in a Platform Engineering or Backend SRE capacity
• Deep understanding of containerization, Kubernetes administration, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience leading platform upgrades, patching, incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and service reliability initiatives
• Experience working within enterprise ITSM, change management, and governance frameworks
• US Citizenship required due to sensitive data (client requirement per MSA, out of IG control)

Nice to Have

• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) experience
• Experience supporting FedRAMP, GovCloud, DoD, or other highly regulated cloud environments

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer with a strong background in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and cloud operations. This individual will serve as a key technical owner across this particular platform's landscape, driving platform stability, governance, upgrades, incident management, and operational best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep Kubernetes expertise, a strong operational mindset, and experience supporting mission-critical cloud services within enterprise or regulated environments.
