We're looking for a talented and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team and help us continue to build and maintain a world-class infrastructure.

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) , you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of our production systems. You will work closely with development, engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to design and implement solutions that improve system performance, reduce downtime, and automate repetitive tasks. The SRE role is a hybrid of systems engineering and operations engineering, where you’ll enhance operational processes, monitoring systems, and tooling to provide a seamless experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, network management, and a keen interest in implementing new technologies to improve overall operational efficiency.

This is a fully remote position that offers a competitive salary range of $117,000 to $150,000, plus an annual bonus. Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other job-related factors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and application performance issues.
  • Document incident details and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Build, tune, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards in New Relic across applications and infrastructure.
  • Ensure alerts are actionable by defining ownership, response steps, and thresholds, and reduce alert noise over time.
  • Support alert integrations that route into Jira Service Management so that alerts arrive as workable tickets.
  • Perform and monitor backup, restore, and data-protection operations in Commvault, including job monitoring and failure remediation.
  • Validate recoverability through periodic restore testing, and report on backup health and coverage gaps.
  • Operate and support workloads in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation, and backups.
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization on premises and in the cloud.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline repetitive tasks and system administration.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, runbooks, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Azure VDI
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks.
  • Extensive expertise in the Windows operating system.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, or production operations roles.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with New Relic monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Working experience with Commvault enterprise backup and data protection
