Site Reliability Engineer - Networking

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing OT security who are protecting critical infrastructure from security breaches. They’re expanding their Professional Services team and need a hands-on engineer to deploy and run the network sensors and Linux infrastructure behind their client engagements.

What you’ll be doing

• Building OS images and managing production Linux environments, using automation tools such as Chef
• Standing up and configuring network security sensors (Zeek, Suricata) on client networks
• Troubleshooting across hardware, virtualisation, OS and network connectivity
• Working directly with client teams as a trusted technical advisor
• Supporting incident response and disaster recovery, including an after-hours on-call rotation

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years managing production Linux environments
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, traffic capture (TAP/SPAN), getting data to sensors reliably
• Experience deploying network sensors or security appliances
• Configuring and tuning Zeek and/or Suricata (deep rule-writing not required)
• Scripting in Python or Bash, plus configuration management (Chef, Ansible or similar)
• Comfortable in a client-facing, fast-paced environment

Nice to have

• OT/ICS environments or industrial protocols
• Security Onion, Arkime or similar NSM tooling
• Startup or professional services experience
