Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Safety In-Charge to oversee and manage all safety and HSE activities at the project/site. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with applicable safety standards, procedures, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable HSE regulations.
• Monitor PPE compliance and safe working practices.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness training.
• Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, hot work, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, and electrical work.
• Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and inspection records.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, fire safety, evacuation drills, and first-aid arrangements.
• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, engineers, and management to resolve safety issues.
• Immediately stop unsafe work where there is a serious risk to workers or property.
• Maintain HSE documentation, checklists, registers, and statutory records.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the site.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant safety certification such as NEBOSH/IOSH will be an advantage.
• Relevant experience in construction, commercial buildings, infrastructure, or facility projects.
• Good knowledge of site safety procedures, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
