Site Safety Manager

Job Overview

Axiom Risk Solutions is a veteran-owned, DVBE-certified construction safety firm. We're hiring an experienced Site Safety Manager to lead safety on a heavy civil street and roadway project in Los Angeles. The work includes active traffic control, deep trenching, and heavy equipment. We're looking for a field-first leader who coaches crews and subs, not someone who manages from the trailer.

Responsibilities

• Run the project's safety program and inspect active work daily
• Coach foremen, crews, and subs, and stop unsafe work when needed
• Lead toolbox talks, JHAs, the Site-Specific Safety Plan, and incident investigations
• Work with the PM and superintendent to build safety into the schedule

Qualifications

• Active CHST (or CSP/ASP)
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction and current First Aid/CPR
• 5+ years in construction safety, including 10**+ on heavy civil, roadway, or underground** work
• Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA Title 8: excavation/shoring, traffic control, heavy equipment
• Experience with digital safety reporting
• Valid CA driver's license

Nice to Have

• Caltrans or public agency work, bilingual English/Spanish, military background

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
