Site Safety Supervisor

About the role

Supervise and monitor daily safety activities at the M&E construction site. Ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with safety requirements, procedures and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices
• Monitor workers, subcontractors and site personnel to ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site safety inductions where required
• Prepare and maintain safety-related documentation, inspection records, reports and checklists
• Monitor M&E works, lifting activities, scaffolding, work at height and confined space activities from a safety perspective
• Assist in risk assessment, HIRARC, method statement and permit-to-work requirements
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from safety inspections
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Team, subcontractors and relevant parties on safety matters
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions
• Ensure emergency response and safety procedures are properly implemented on site

About you

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant construction site safety experience
• Must have valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) competency / registration
• Must possess valid Scaffold Inspector certification
• Must possess valid Authorised Gas Tester (AGT) certification
• Must possess valid Authorised Entry Supervisor (AESP / Entry Supervisor) certification
• Experience in M&E construction projects will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures
• Able to conduct site inspections and identify safety hazards independently
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work independently
