Site Safety Supervisor

About the role

Supervise and monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with site safety requirements, company policies and applicable DOSH/JKKP regulations. Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with site safety requirements, company policies and applicable DOSH/JKKP regulations
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards
• Ensure workers, subcontractors and site personnel comply with safety procedures and properly use required PPE
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site safety inductions where required
• Monitor high-risk construction activities including working at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation and other site activities
• Prepare and maintain safety inspection reports, checklists, records and other relevant safety documentation
• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and follow up on corrective actions
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, SHO, subcontractors and relevant parties on safety-related matters
• Monitor housekeeping, emergency access, safety signage, barricades and other site safety arrangements
• Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture among workers and subcontractors on site

About you

• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) registration/certificate recognised by DOSH/JKKP
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant construction site safety experience preferred
• Experience in high-rise, commercial, industrial, warehouse/factory or infrastructure projects will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of construction safety practices and applicable safety requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with site teams and subcontractors
• Able to work independently, conduct site inspections and take immediate action on safety concerns
• Willing to be based at construction sites and work according to project requirements
