Site Safety Supervisor (Contract)

Job Description:

Site Safety Supervisor

1. Inspects and rectifies unsafe place of work and practices.
2. Checks to ensure compliance with the Act and safety measures of regulations thereunder.
3. Liaises with contractor’s safety supervisor with respect to safety of work undertaken by sub-contractors.
4. Ensures safety procedures comply with provision of the Act and regulations.
5. Raises health and safety issues to Safety & Health Officer where necessary.
6. Responsible to ensure all individuals at site know about the potential safety hazard, accident and incident management and carry out HSE meeting at site.
7. Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
8. To conduct weekly Safety briefing (Toolbox meeting).
9. Works closely with HSE Managers to implement safety measures from time to time.
10. To ensure Environment, Health & Safety permits and documents are in place.
11. Assist Project Manager to supervise daily site works and coordinate with subcontractors on job site.
12. Other assigned tasks as required of role from time to time.

Requirements

1. Must have valid Yellow Book, registered with DOSH or JKKP.
2. At least 4 years experiences in construction industry performing safety functions.
3. Good communication skills, able to gain respect from co-workers.
4. Solve issues on the go and make recommendation on technical issues requiring expertise in the field.
5. Computer skills required : Microsoft Office
6. Able to work independently
