JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) is responsible for overseeing, monitor and ensure the effective implementation of occupational safety and health requirements across the Company's property development projects. To represent the Developer's interests in safety and health matters by monitoring the performance of main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and other site personnel, ensuring compliance with applicable Malaysian legislation, DOSH requirements, construction & project requirements and the Company's SHE policy.

Safety Management & Compliance

• Monitor overall safety and health performance of the Company's development projects.
• Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with applicable OSH legislation and DOSH/JKKP requirements.
• Monitor implementation of the company's SHE policies, HIRARC,risk assessments ,procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure safety requirements are incorporated into project planning and construction activities.
• Advise Construction & Project Management on safety risks and recommended control measures.

Site Safety - Monitoring, Meetings & Training

• Conduct regular site safety meeting, inspections ,training, joint inspections with contractors and consultants.
• Monitor contractors' daily toolbox meetings and safety inductions. Promote safety awareness among workers, contractors and visitors.
• Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.Monitor high-risk construction activities.
• Issue safety observations and recommendations for corrective action.
• Monitor and verify closure of outstanding safety issues.

PPE & Safety Facilities

• Monitor contractors' provision and enforcement of PPE.
• Ensure staff, workers and visitors comply with site PPE requirements.
• Monitor safety signage, barricades, warning notices and access controls.
• Ensure identified deficiencies are promptly rectified.

Safety Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of safety inspections, observations and corrective actions.
• Prepare regular safety reports for Construction & Project Management.
• Monitor safety performance statistics and trends.
• Maintain records of HIRARC, PTW, incidents, NCRs, toolbox meetings, training and emergency drills.
• Report significant safety risks and unresolved issues to the Management.

Incident & Accident Management

• Monitor and participate in accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
• Review contractors' incident investigation reports.
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor implementation and closure of corrective actions.
• Identify recurring safety trends and recommend preventive measures.

Contractor & Subcontractor Management

• Monitor the safety performance of main contractors and subcontractors.
• Review contractors' safety documentation, HIRARC, method statements and permits.
• Monitor contractor compliance with statutory and contractual safety requirements.
• Participate in contractor safety meetings.
• Escalate serious or repeated safety non-compliances to Construction & Project Management.
• Recommend corrective or contractual action where necessary.

Other Duties

• Preparing ad-hoc reports when required.
• To perform any relevant duties assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH);or Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Safety Management, Construction Management ;or Any relevanthighest education.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in Occupational Safety & Health in Construction Sector.
• Preferably with experience in property development, real estate development or construction projects.
• Hands-on experience in “high-rise” building construction projects is highly required will be an added advantage.
• Experience working for a Developer / Client / Project Management organisation will be an added advantage.
• Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH/JKKP . Registration and certification must remain valid throughout employment**(MANDATORY)**
• Possess a valid Yellow Book and CIDB Card. Registration and certification must remain valid throughout employment (MANDATORY)
• Possessing  other relevant safety competency certifications (BOFA,NIOSH,etc) will be an added advantage.

COMPANY'S WORKING DAYS & HOURS:

Normal Working Days:
Five (5) days per week

Schedule:
Monday to Friday

Working Hours:
8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Public Holidays:
Observed in accordance with the annually gazetted public holidays for Johor State.

Overtime (OT) :
Overtime work may be required based on operational or project needs. Where applicable, overtime will be compensated in accordance with the Company's policy and applicable employment laws.
