Site Safety Supervisor (SSS)

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and proactive Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to support site safety operations for our project in Pengerang, Johor. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring daily site activities, promoting safe working practices, and ensuring that workers comply with project safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with site safety rules, procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential workplace hazards.
• Ensure workers comply with safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to communicate site hazards and safe working practices.
• Monitor housekeeping, access routes, barricades, safety signage, and general site conditions.
• Report safety non-compliances, incidents, and potential hazards to the Safety and Health Officer or project management.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure identified safety issues are addressed.
• Assist in maintaining site safety records, inspection checklists, attendance records, and other relevant documentation.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and workers on day-to-day safety matters.
• Support the implementation of risk control measures and safe work procedures.

About you

• Must possess a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor competency).
• Must have valid CIDB registration.
• Relevant experience in construction, oil and gas, or industrial projects is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of site safety practices, hazard identification, and workplace risk control.
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work effectively with site personnel.
• Willing to work on-site in Pengerang, Johor.
• Able to commence work immediately or as required by the project.
