What they need

Night-in-the-Life

Based in Rochester, NY 14609, you’ll guide facility security through the quietest hours. From 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Monday–Friday, you lead a skilled team, keep eyes on systems, and ensure everyone starts the morning safe. You’ll also rotate on-call duty every other weekend.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the site’s physical security program—shaping, updating, and enforcing policies and procedures that protect people, assets, and information.
  • Coach and direct a security team; plan coverage, deliver training, and set performance standards that raise the bar.
  • Run recurring audits and risk assessments to spot gaps and prioritize mitigations.
  • Serve as the point of contact with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
  • Oversee access control, video surveillance, and other security technologies; investigate and respond rapidly to incidents.
  • Document activity, metrics, and findings in clear reports for leadership review.
  • Champion a safety-first culture—engaging employees to recognize and report risks.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred—ideally in business, criminal justice, accounting, or computer technology—or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on background leading security operations in corporate, industrial, or similar environments.
  • Confident people leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of access control systems and CCTV platforms.
  • Sound judgment under pressure; adept at threat assessment and incident response.
  • Relevant certifications (CPP, PSP) are a plus.
  • Uncompromising integrity and professionalism.

Experience Profile

  • 2–5 years in security operations, department management, loss prevention, military service, or law enforcement/investigations.
  • Experience in multinational settings preferred.
  • Proven ability to conduct subject interviews in adversarial contexts and deliver actionable outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Technical & Leadership Proficiencies

  • Team leadership and supervisory capability
  • Bachelor’s-level education (preferred)
  • Access control administration
  • Video surveillance/CCTV operations
  • Outstanding communication skills
