Site Service Engineer

Hitachi Europe S.A. is seeking a Site Service Engineer to support its Proton Therapy project in Madrid , Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and operational support of the Proton Beam Therapy System, working as part of the Hitachi site team under the direction of the Site Manager.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong technical and problem-solving skills who is committed to maintaining high standards of system performance, reliability, and customer service.

[Responsibilities]

• Monitor system performance and implement measures to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Execute work orders in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and business processes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
• Support the deployment and adoption of new technologies, products, and processes.
• Respond promptly to service requests and maintain effective communication with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

[Qualifications]

• University degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; non-Spanish degrees must be homologated by the Spanish authorities.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Maintenance of industrial facilities, medical devices, nuclear power equipment or electrical engineering.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of radiation protection is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a cross-functional team.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules and shift patterns as required.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
