What they need
Camco is a trusted engineering services provider delivering innovative, time-critical solutions to some of Australia's most successful and progressive mining operations.
For more than 35 years, our ownership group has built a reputation for technical excellence, reliability, and long-term customer partnerships. Supported by an experienced management team and highly skilled trades workforce, Camco has grown into one of Western Australia's leading providers of specialised maintenance, refurbishment, and engineering services.
We pride ourselves on giving our clients a technical edge by minimising downtime, improving equipment availability, and delivering practical solutions that keep critical operations running.
About the Role
This dynamic role is primarily based at our Canning Vale workshop and offers a unique blend of hands-on workshop involvement and site leadership responsibilities. We are seeking a trade-qualified, proactive Mechanical Site Service Supervisor to support our continued growth during this exciting period.
The role requires a high degree of flexibility to meet operational and project requirements as they arise. While the position is workshop-based, site supervision remains a critical component of the role and will be undertaken as business needs dictate. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing workshop responsibilities with regular site travel and adapting to changing operational demands.
At present, the role is expected to involve approximately 75 to 100 site days per year, although this may fluctuate depending on project requirements and workload. While we are unable to commit to a fixed FIFO roster at this stage, our long-term vision is to continue growing the Site Services division to a point where a more structured roster becomes viable. As such, candidates should be prepared to support opportunities across multiple locations and embrace the evolving nature of the role as the business expands.
When on site, you will be responsible for leading and supervising field crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating resources, and supporting the successful delivery of maintenance activities, shutdowns, and project work.
When based in the Perth workshop, your focus will shift to preparing equipment and resources for upcoming shutdowns and site deployments. Typical responsibilities include servicing and maintaining containerised equipment, coordinating mobilisation requirements, preparing tools and materials, reviewing completed work, compiling reports, and ensuring all equipment is ready for deployment to support operational requirements.
