COMPANY OVERVIEW

Domaco-Encocorp Construction (DEC) is a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor specializing in the full-cycle development of mission-critical data centers across North America. With decades of combined experience and a strong portfolio of successful data center builds, our team is committed to delivering high-performance infrastructure that meets the most rigorous industry standards. Our integrated approach brings together design, engineering, and construction expertise to ensure precision, speed, and quality at every stage.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site execution of data center construction projects in Raleigh. This role is critical to the successful delivery of complex, fast-paced EPC builds, with responsibility for field operations, schedule adherence, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, and overall site performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large-scale industrial or commercial construction, with strong exposure to electrical and MEP-intensive scopes, ideally within mission-critical, data center, or critical infrastructure environments. This role requires strong leadership, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to manage multiple trades and workflows simultaneously in a dynamic site environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Management & Execution

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities from mobilization to closeout.
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and field personnel to maintain productivity and quality.
  • Ensure work is performed according to approved drawings, specs, and safety standards.
  • Proactively address site issues, change conditions, and schedule impacts in real-time.

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Maintain daily logs, site reports, and project schedule updates.
  • Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and utility connections with appropriate authorities.
  • Coordinate electrical and MEP trade sequencing, inspections, energization milestones, commissioning activities, and utility/interface requirements.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to align field progress with project milestones.

Health & Safety

  • Enforce company and regulatory safety policies on-site at all times.
  • Lead daily toolbox talks and ensure all workers comply with PPE and site safety procedures.
  • Report and document any incidents or near-misses immediately.

Quality Control

  • Monitor workmanship and ensure construction meets high standards and contract documents.
  • Review and approve mock-ups, materials, and installations in coordination with consultants.
  • Support punch list walkthroughs and final quality checks.

Team Leadership

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professionalism on-site.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, laborers, and site coordinators.
  • Serve as the face of DEC to clients, consultants, and vendors at the site level.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Data center, critical infrastructure, or MEP-heavy project experience is strongly preferred, with particular emphasis on electrical systems, power distribution, controls, commissioning coordination, and trade sequencing.
  • Experience working within EPC or design-build environments is an asset.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of site construction practices, safety codes, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical construction activities, including power distribution, switchgear, generators/UPS, grounding, cable pathways, lighting, controls, testing, commissioning coordination, and coordination with mechanical and low-voltage trades.
  • Proficient in field reporting tools and project software, including Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Certifications Preferred

  • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification.
  • WHMIS and First Aid/CPR.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various project sites.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact data center projects.
  • A dynamic, growth-oriented work environment.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Supportive team culture with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
