Site Supervisor

About the role

This role involves supervising and coordinating daily construction activities at the project site, directing sub-contractors, and ensuring all construction works are carried out according to approved plans, drawings and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site
• Direct and instruct sub-contractors on site activities and work requirements
• Ensure all construction works are carried out according to approved plans, drawings and specifications
• Review approved drawings and plans to identify any discrepancies before commencement of work
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule
• Ensure all materials used comply with approved specifications and required quality standards
• Check, receive and verify materials delivered to site for correct quantity, type and condition
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements
• Monitor site safety, health and security throughout the project
• Prepare and maintain daily site records and photographic records of site activities and progress

About you

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision
• Good knowledge of construction methods, drawings and specifications
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings
• Good understanding of construction quality, safety and site procedures
• Strong site supervision, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple site activities
• Willing to work at project sites and outside normal working hours when required
