Site Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking Site Supervisor (one to two years) experience to join C N H CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN. BHD. in Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on site, managing teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for delivering high-quality construction work and represents a key leadership position within our operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and timelines
2. Manage and motivate construction teams, including labourers, craftspeople, and sub-contractors, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment
3. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards
4. Monitor project progress and report on site activities, budgets, and resource allocation to senior management
5. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labour hours, ensuring all documentation is up to date
6. Identify and resolve on-site issues and challenges promptly, minimising delays and ensuring continuity of work
7. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment
8. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks and ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) is properly used
9. Manage material deliveries and storage, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimal wastage
10. Train and mentor junior staff and new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices

What we're looking for

1. Minimum one years of experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
2. Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations applicable in Malaysia
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and communicate effectively with diverse teams
5. Sound understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
6. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent attention to detail
8. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various construction sites as required
9. Preferably holds relevant certifications such as CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) qualifications or equivalent
10. Knowledge of health and safety management systems and experience implementing safety protocols on site
