SITE SUPERVISOR

About the role

Wavepool & Fountain Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our construction team in Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, managing construction teams, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. This role is essential to our commitment to delivering exceptional construction projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring work progresses according to project schedules and specifications
• Manage and motivate construction teams, including labourers, tradespersons and subcontractors, to maintain productivity and morale
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor work quality, safety standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, including daily progress logs, safety records and incident documentation
• Liaise between site teams and senior management, communicating progress updates, challenges and recommendations
• Ensure proper storage, handling and management of construction materials and equipment on site
• Implement and enforce site safety protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and accident prevention measures
• Manage site documentation including permits, licenses, timesheets and quality control records
• Identify and resolve site-related issues promptly to minimise delays and cost overruns
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, architects and local authorities, as required

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in construction supervision or site management roles
• Proven expertise in managing construction teams and coordinating multiple trades on site
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment and industry best practices
• Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations and site safety management
• Excellent organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
• Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant qualifications such as CIDB certification, safety training or project management credentials are advantageous
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with site management software is preferred
