Site Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Supervisor to join Boon Boon Builder Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis. Based in Kuala Ketil, Kedah, this is a pivotal position within our construction operations. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring projects run smoothly, safely and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role is essential to our success, acting as the critical link between our management team and our on-site workforce, ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with project schedules, specifications and quality standards
• Monitor and coordinate the work of tradespeople, labourers and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
• Conduct daily safety briefings and inspections to maintain a safe working environment and ensure all personnel adhere to health and safety regulations
• Inspect completed work and materials to verify they meet quality specifications and project requirements
• Manage site resources, including equipment, materials and personnel, ensuring optimal utilisation and minimal wastage
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress documentation and safety logs
• Communicate effectively with project management, clients and other stakeholders regarding progress, challenges and requirements
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly to maintain project momentum and prevent delays
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and company policies at all times
• Train and mentor site personnel, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction supervision or site management roles
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from commencement to completion
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations relevant to Malaysia
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse workforce teams
• Solid understanding of project scheduling, budgeting and resource management
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English and Malay
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications accurately
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Relevant qualifications such as CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) certification or equivalent
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various construction sites as required
• Familiarity with construction management software and digital tools is advantageous
