About the role

Supervise and monitor daily work progress at building construction sites. Coordinate and oversee workers and subcontractors to ensure work follows the approved schedule, complies with JKR specifications and quality standards, and meets safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily work progress at the building construction site
• Coordinate and oversee workers and subcontractors to ensure work follows the approved schedule
• Ensure all work complies with JKR specifications, drawings, and quality standards
• Assist in preparing for JKR inspections and ensure work is ready for SO (Superintending Officer) approval
• Monitor and enforce site safety rules and procedures (OSHA / CIDB / SHASSIC compliance)
• Check and verify materials delivered to site against approved specifications (quantity and quality)
• Prepare and submit daily site reports, progress records, labour returns, and inspection requests (Request for Inspection / RFI)
• Liaise with the project manager, consultants, JKR officers, and SO representatives on site matters
• Identify and report any defects, delays, non-compliance, or site problems promptly
• Ensure proper housekeeping, tidiness, and safe working conditions on-site

About you

• Possess a valid driving license and own a car or motorcycle (must be willing to travel between sites)
• Experience in building construction, preferably on JKR / government projects
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and JKR specifications
• Familiar with JKR documentation, quality standards, and inspection procedures (advantage)
• Physically fit and willing to work on-site
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
