Job Description – Civil Site Supervisor

Position Overview

The Civil Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising civil construction, maintenance, repair, and modification works within a chemical manufacturing plant. The role ensures all civil activities are completed safely, according to approved drawings/specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil works including RCC, foundations, flooring, drainage, roads, structural supports, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, painting, and building maintenance.
• Supervise construction of equipment foundations, tank foundations, pipe-rack foundations, bund walls, trenches, pits, and chemical-resistant flooring.
• Coordinate contractors, technicians, masons, carpenters, steel fixers, and other site workers.
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and project requirements.
• Check reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, levels, dimensions, and alignment before execution.
• Monitor daily progress, manpower, materials, and equipment at site.
• Coordinate civil activities with Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Maintenance, and HSE teams.
• Ensure strict compliance with chemical plant HSE requirements, Permit-to-Work (PTW), PPE, work-at-height, excavation, and confined-space procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure proper quality of workmanship.
• Prepare daily progress reports, material requirements, and work completion records.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at all civil work locations.
• Supervise repair and maintenance of existing plant buildings, structures, roads, drainage systems, and utilities.

Requirements

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in civil construction/site supervision, preferably in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, refinery, or industrial manufacturing plants.
• Strong knowledge of RCC works, industrial foundations, structural works, drainage, flooring, and civil maintenance.
• Ability to read civil drawings, structural drawings, layouts, and BOQs.
• Good understanding of industrial HSE and Permit-to-Work procedures.
• Strong contractor and manpower supervision skills.
• Gulf/UAE industrial experience will be an advantage.
• Candidates available for immediate joining preferred.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
