Site Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join Vanadium Engineering Resources Sdn Bhd at our location in UEP Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful execution of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing workforce productivity, and maintaining quality standards. This role is essential to the delivery of our projects on time and within budget, whilst maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental practices.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
• Monitor daily construction progress and report against project schedules and milestones
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations on site
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to keep the workforce informed and engaged
• Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and other site personnel
• Inspect workmanship and materials to ensure they meet project specifications and standards
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets and safety documentation
• Identify and resolve site-related issues promptly to minimise disruptions
• Liaise with project managers and clients to provide regular updates on site progress
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained on site at all times

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role within construction, with a minimum of 5 years in the industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools and safety protocols
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide construction teams
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications
• Sound understanding of project management principles and scheduling
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Malay (or Chinese)
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices on construction sites
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations as required
• Relevant construction qualifications or certifications (such as CIDB registration) are preferred
• Experience with construction safety management systems and incident reporting is advantageous
• Ability to read drawings and organize site activities
• Relevant construction or renovation experience
