SITE SUPERVISOR

About the role

Grand Nation Builder Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to join our team in Menggatal, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial leadership role in overseeing construction activities and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating site operations, managing teams, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position is integral to our operations and directly impacts project success and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and coordinate all construction activities to ensure projects progress according to schedule and specifications
• Supervise and manage site workers, subcontractors and labour teams, ensuring adherence to health, safety and environmental standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, safety compliance and environmental protocols
• Prepare and maintain detailed site documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, timesheets and incident records
• Liaise with project managers, clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns
• Manage site resources including materials, equipment and tools, ensuring proper storage and maintenance
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and conduct toolbox talks to promote a safety-first culture on site
• Identify and resolve workplace issues promptly and escalate concerns to management when necessary
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company policies throughout all site operations
• Collaborate with other departments and teams to optimise site efficiency and productivity

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role in construction, manufacturing, or logistics sectors
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, health and safety regulations, and site management best practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage teams of varying sizes
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with workers, management and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in site documentation and familiarity with project management tools
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
• Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma or Certificate in Construction Management, Supervisory Management or equivalent
• Valid driving licence and ability to work in all weather conditions
• Preferred: Experience with construction software, CAD reading or knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Malaysia
