About the Role

We are looking for a Site Supervisor to supervise and coordinate machine installation, fabrication, assembly, testing, commissioning and site-related activities.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with engineers, technicians, vendors, contractors and customers to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and commissioned correctly and within the required timeline.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial machinery, equipment installation, mechanical/electrical works or engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities at customer/project sites.
• Plan and monitor machine installation, erection, assembly and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Automation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise machine positioning, alignment, mechanical assembly, electrical connections, cabling and other installation activities.
• Ensure installation activities are carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians during testing, trial runs and commissioning of machines.
• Monitor manpower deployment and ensure optimum utilization of site resources.
• Coordinate the availability of tools, equipment, materials and consumables required for site activities.
• Monitor project progress against the agreed schedule and report delays or site issues to the Project/Engineering Manager.
• Coordinate with customer representatives and contractors regarding site requirements, access, utilities and installation activities.
• Identify site-level technical or operational issues and coordinate with the concerned engineering team for resolution.
• Maintain daily site reports, installation checklists, progress reports and relevant project documentation.
• Ensure proper handling, movement and installation of machinery and equipment at site.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements and company standards.
• Maintain proper discipline at the project site.
• Assist the engineering team during testing, commissioning, customer demonstrations and final handover.
• Support customer/operator training and provide assistance during initial machine operation when required.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and service personnel involved in project execution.
• Travel to customer locations across India as required for installation, commissioning and service activities.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of industrial machinery installation and commissioning.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of motors, sensors, control panels, wiring and pneumatic systems will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of automation .
• Ability to read basic mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Good manpower and site coordination skills.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Strong site coordination and supervision skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, engineers, technicians and vendors.

Prefer Candidates

Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

• Industrial machinery manufacturing
• Automation / Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
• Machine installation and commissioning
• Electrical/electronics equipment
• Defence equipment manufacturing
• Industrial project execution

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related technical field.

Important

The candidate should be comfortable with frequent travel to customer/project sites and should have hands-on experience in supervising technical installation or industrial machinery-related work.
