What they need

MCM D’Lusso Construction is a family-run company specializing in premium tile, stone, renovation, and construction finishing services for residential and commercial projects across Collingwood, Barrie, the Greater Toronto Area, and surrounding communities. The company is recognized for precise, durable work and high-quality craftsmanship.

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to coordinate on-site activities and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the company’s quality standards. This hands-on leadership role will oversee crews and subcontractors, coordinate labour and schedules, review plans, monitor project progress, and serve as a key point of contact between job sites and the office. The position is well suited to an experienced flooring or tile professional who understands how to lead a job and is ready to take on greater supervisory responsibility.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Oversee daily activities across active flooring and tile job sites.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for company leadership, office staff, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and supervise installers, subcontractors, and site personnel to keep work progressing according to schedule.
  • Review construction drawings, plans, specifications, and scope requirements before and throughout each project.
  • Plan daily labour requirements and determine the appropriate crew size based on project needs and timelines.
  • Coordinate job starts, including confirming site readiness, labour availability, materials, and installation requirements.
  • Provide hands-on guidance for tile and flooring installation, including layout, preparation, sequencing, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor project schedules and adjust daily activities as needed to address changing site conditions or priorities.
  • Track project progress and communicate schedule updates, delays, material needs, and site issues to the office team.
  • Confirm that required materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Coordinator regarding scheduling, deliveries, documentation, and project requirements.
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure installations meet project specifications and MCM D’Lusso’s quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve on-site challenges promptly to minimize delays and unnecessary costs.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with subcontractors, trades, clients, and other site contacts.
  • Help control project costs through effective labour planning, scheduling, and on-site coordination.
  • Promote safe, clean, and organized job sites and ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
  • Travel to project sites across Collingwood, Toronto, Hamilton, and other locations as required.
  • Provide regular project updates and support additional field responsibilities as the company continues to grow.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience in flooring installation, with strong practical knowledge of tile installation considered essential.
  • Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Lead Hand, Foreperson, Senior Installer, or in a similar field leadership role is preferred.
  • Experienced installers who have led projects or crews and are ready to advance into a formal supervisory position will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of how to start, coordinate, and complete flooring and tile installation projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project scopes.
  • Experience coordinating installers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
  • Strong scheduling and labour-planning skills, including the ability to assess crew requirements based on project scope and timelines.
  • Knowledge of job-site operations, material requirements, installation sequencing, and quality-control practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field personnel, subcontractors, office teams, clients, and other trades.
  • Confident and professional when managing different personalities, addressing concerns, and providing clear direction.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing site conditions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple priorities and job sites.
  • Dependable, adaptable, coachable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, family-run business.
  • Valid driver’s licence, access to a reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel to project sites across Collingwood, Toronto, Hamilton, and other locations as required.
  • Commitment to maintaining safe, organized job sites and delivering work that meets project specifications and company quality standards.

What’s In It For You

  • Opportunity to join a growing, family-run construction company with a collaborative and fast-paced culture.
  • A hands-on position where you can take ownership of a key operational function and have a direct impact on project delivery.
  • Exposure to a diverse range of high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial construction projects.
  • The opportunity to work closely with company leadership, office teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • A dynamic work environment where initiative, adaptability, and strong performance are recognized and valued.
