About the Role

Arrant Construction is seeking a motivated Site Supervisor Intern to join our team in New Haven, Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineering or Construction Management student/recent graduate to gain practical, hands-on experience with commercial and industrial construction projects.

The intern will work closely with our project and field teams and gain exposure to day-to-day construction operations, project coordination, documentation, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site activities and construction coordination.
• Support Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Superintendents with ongoing projects.
• Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Assist with site inspections and monitoring of construction progress.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project team members.
• Maintain daily reports, project records, and site documentation.
• Assist with material tracking, measurements, and quantity takeoffs.
• Support project scheduling and progress tracking.
• Assist with quality-control and safety procedures.
• Help identify and communicate site issues or delays.
• Participate in project meetings and site walkthroughs.
• Perform other construction-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a construction-site environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous construction/site experience is a plus, but not required.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Understanding of construction documentation and project coordination.
• Valid driver's license is a plus.
