Site Supervisor/ Manager

About the role

Pressco Design & Build Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Supervisor/ Manager to join our construction team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. As Site Supervisor/ Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site operations, managing teams, and maintaining safety and compliance standards across all construction activities. This is a leadership position that directly impacts project success and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and ensure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications and timelines
• Manage and supervise construction teams, including labourers, tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols
• Monitor project progress and report status updates to senior management and clients on a regular basis
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards and company policies on site
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures
• Manage site documentation, including daily reports, safety records, material logs and quality control records
• Coordinate delivery and storage of materials and equipment, ensuring efficient site organisation
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, architects and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project continuity
• Prepare and manage site budgets and monitor costs to prevent overruns
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training sessions for site personnel
• Maintain disciplinary and grievance procedures, addressing performance issues promptly and fairly

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction site supervision or management within the construction industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects from inception to completion
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards and building regulations in Malaysia
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Competency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders
• Sound problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various project sites
• Relevant certifications such as CIDB registration, Safety and Health Officer certification, or equivalent qualifications are preferred
• Experience in managing concrete, structural, finishing or mechanical works is advantageous
