Site Supervisor - Mechanical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor – Mechanical to join our team in Johor on a full-time basis. This is a strategic supervisory position within our construction operations, where you will play a vital role in overseeing mechanical installations, coordinating trade activities, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. The Site Supervisor – Mechanical will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for managing day-to-day mechanical works on site, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of mechanical technicians and labourers. This position is crucial to the successful delivery of our projects and directly impacts project profitability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation works on site, including Power Generators ( Diesel / Gas ) , mechanical piping, Diesel fuel system and associated equipment installation.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with project specifications, drawings, building codes, and relevant regulations
• Plan and schedule mechanical work activities, coordinating with other trades to minimise delays and optimise site productivity
• Manage and direct mechanical technicians and labourers, providing guidance, instruction, and performance feedback
• Monitor material and equipment requirements, coordinating delivery and storage to support continuous workflow
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety hazards and quality issues, implementing corrective actions promptly
• Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports, labour documentation, and mechanical work completion logs
• Liaise with the Project Manager, clients, and other stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and resolution strategies
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all mechanical operations
• Support quality control by conducting inspections and ensuring work meets required standards before handover

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman in mechanical construction or a related discipline

• Proven track record of successfully supervising mechanical installation works on commercial, industrial, or large-scale data-center projects
• Strong knowledge of power generator (Diesel / Gas ) , mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical ventilation installation practices .
• Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian building codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to mechanical works
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with construction management software
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
• Valid Malaysian driving licence
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA or equivalent health and safety training are highly desirable
• Experience with project scheduling tools and budget tracking is preferred
