SITE SUPERVISOR MECHANICAL

We are looking for Mechanial Engineer for our hospital construction at Alibagh, Navi Mumbai . The JD of the candidate are:-

A Mechanical Site Supervisor manages daily on-site mechanical operations, contractor work, and equipment installations to ensure projects finish safely, on time, and to specification. [1, 2]Job Overview & Objective

• Role Type: Full-Time / On-Site Operations
• Primary Goal: Supervise mechanical installations, equipment erection, piping, and maintenance activities while enforcing strict quality control and safety rules.
• Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Engineer
• Direct Reports: Mechanical Technicians, Fitters, Welders, Subcontractors [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Execution:
• Direct and monitor daily mechanical works, including equipment alignment, bolt torquing, structural steel erection, and piping installation.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities such as hydro-testing, pneumatic testing, and lube oil flushing. [1, 2, 3, 4]
• Quality & Compliance:
• Ensure all work aligns with approved P&IDs, blueprints, and client specifications.
• Review and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) requirements, and punch list clearances. [1, 2, 3, 4]
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
• Enforce site safety rules, conduct toolbox talks, and manage Permits-to-Work (PTW).
• Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to maintain a zero-incident workplace. [1, 2, 3]
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material tracking logs, and equipment time-sheets.
• Coordinate with stores and procurement to track the delivery of mechanical parts, valves, and steel structures. [1, 2, 3]
• Stakeholder Coordination:
• Liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical site challenges. [1, 2]

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent practical trade qualification). [1, 2, 3]
• Experience: 3 to 8+ years of hands-on site supervision experience in construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, infrastructure, or heavy industries. [1, 2, 3]
• Technical Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and mechanical schematics.
• Knowledge of rotating/static equipment installation, alignment tools, and hydraulic/lubrication systems. [1, 2, 3]
• Certifications (varies by region/industry):
• Valid site safety certification (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS, or local equivalent)
• First Aid at Work card [1]
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, verbal/written communication, and basic computer proficiency (MS Office, basic project tracking tools). [1, 2]
