Site Supervisor – Semiconductor Tool Hook-up

About the role

We are seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee daily semiconductor tool hook-up and piping installation activities. The role involves supervising pipefitters, welders and technicians, coordinating site resources, and ensuring work meets project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and construction schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily hook-up activities carried out by pipefitters, welders and technicians.
• Oversee the installation of stainless steel piping, PVDF/PFA piping, gas cabinets, chemical delivery systems and exhaust systems.
• Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings and tool hook-up schematics to guide site execution.
• Coordinate material requirements and ensure specified pipes, valves, fittings—including VCR and compression fittings—and installation tools are available before work begins.
• Ensure installation teams follow cleanroom protocols and contamination-control requirements.
• Coordinate and oversee leak testing, pressure hold testing, and moisture and oxygen analytical testing according to approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate installation records, weld logs, inspection records and test reports to support QA/QC verification and system qualification.
• Enforce site EHS requirements, particularly when working with systems involving toxic, flammable, pyrophoric or corrosive gases and chemicals.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Project Managers and client/tool installation teams to align hook-up activities with project and factory schedules.
• Coordinate and verify compliance with approved Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work and isolation procedures during tie-ins to existing live system headers.

About you

• Relevant technical qualification or hands-on experience in mechanical installation, piping or engineering construction.
• Experience supervising semiconductor tool hook-up, cleanroom piping or related industrial installation work.
• Working knowledge of stainless steel and PVDF/PFA piping, gas and chemical delivery systems, and exhaust systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings and hook-up schematics.
• Familiarity with specialised piping components, including VCR and compression fittings.
• Understanding of cleanroom protocols, piping inspection, testing requirements and QA/QC documentation.
• Knowledge of site safety practices, LOTO procedures and the hazards associated with gas and chemical systems.
• Ability to lead site teams, coordinate daily activities and resolve practical installation issues.
• Able to communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives.
