Site Technician - Ready Mix

Job Purpose:

Responsible for carrying out quality-control inspections and testing of ready-mix concrete at construction sites, ensuring that delivered concrete meets the approved mix design, project specifications, and required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend concrete deliveries at project sites and perform required quality-control tests.

• Check concrete delivery tickets, mix designation, batch time, quantity, and delivery details.

• Perform fresh concrete tests including:

o Slump test

o Concrete temperature

o Unit weight/density

o Air content where required

o Visual inspection of concrete consistency and workability

• Prepare and label concrete cubes/cylinders for compressive-strength testing.

• Ensure proper sampling, casting, curing, transportation, and identification of specimens.

• Monitor concrete discharge and placement conditions at site.

• Verify that concrete is delivered within the approved time limits.

• Communicate with site engineers, supervisors, pump operators, and RMC plant personnel

regarding concrete quality and site requirements.

• Report any abnormality, rejection, segregation, excessive bleeding, loss of workability, or

other quality issue immediately.

• Maintain accurate records of site testing and concrete deliveries.

• Follow approved sampling and testing procedures.

• Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

• Assist QC engineers in investigating concrete complaints and non-conformities.

• Monitor concrete curing practices and sample storage conditions.

• Prepare daily site-quality reports and submit test results to the QC department.

• Follow all company HSE requirements while working at construction sites
