SITE/PROJECT ENGINEER

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and proactive Site / Project Engineer to oversee site activities and coordinate project documentation for civil and infrastructure works, including water reticulation, sewerage, roadworks and drainage.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules and safety requirements.
• Plan and coordinate site activities, manpower, machinery and materials to meet project deadlines.
• Monitor work progress, identify site issues and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve technical and construction-related matters.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, including Air Selangor, local councils, consultants, clients and developers, on project submissions, permits, inspections and approvals.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including work programmes, progress reports, method statements, RFI submissions and other relevant paperwork.
• Coordinate material take-offs, quantity calculations, material requisitions, purchasing and delivery arrangements.
• Monitor material usage, delivery schedules and site requirements to ensure sufficient materials are available for construction works.
• Coordinate site inspections, testing and commissioning activities with clients, consultants and relevant authorities.
• Prepare and compile as-built drawings, inspection records, test reports and handover documentation.
• Maintain effective communication between site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in site supervision, project coordination and construction documentation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of water reticulation, sewerage, roadworks or other infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Good communication, coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Able to liaise with authorities and manage project documentation independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and project scheduling software is an advantage.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.
• Fresh graduates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.
