SKATEBOARD COACH INTERN

Schedule: Weekends and selected weekdays, depending on program schedule

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Skateboard Coach Intern to join our team in Pasay and assist in conducting beginner-friendly skateboarding sessions for kids and first-time riders.

This is a great opportunity for students or aspiring coaches who are passionate about skateboarding, sports, outdoor activities, and working with children.

The intern will assist our lead coach in creating a safe, fun, and encouraging learning environment where beginners can build confidence and learn the fundamentals of skateboarding.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the lead coach during beginner skateboarding lessons and activities.
• Teach or demonstrate basic skateboarding skills under the supervision of the lead coach.
• Help students learn:
• Proper stance and balance
• Mounting and dismounting
• Pushing and stopping
• Turning and steering
• Basic riding techniques
• Beginner skateboarding safety
• Assist in checking helmets, protective gear, and skateboards before sessions.
• Help organize and prepare the coaching area before and after each class.
• Encourage students and provide positive feedback throughout the session.
• Assist parents and students with basic questions about the lessons and equipment.
• Monitor students during activities and immediately report any safety concerns to the lead coach.
• Help maintain cleanliness and proper storage of skateboards and coaching equipment.
• Support special events, workshops, and holiday skateboarding activities when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in college or a relevant educational program.
• Skateboarding experience is required.
• Comfortable riding a skateboard and demonstrating basic skills.
• Passionate about sports, skateboarding, and working with kids.
• Patient, friendly, energetic, and approachable.
• Responsible and safety-conscious.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to learn coaching techniques and follow the lead coach's instructions.
• Previous coaching, teaching, sports, or camp experience is an advantage but not required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are someone who:

LOVES TO SKATE + LOVES TO TEACH + LOVES WORKING WITH KIDS.

You don't need to be an advanced professional skateboarder. What matters most is that you are confident with the basics, responsible, patient, and able to make beginners feel comfortable and excited to learn.
