Skilled Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring that residential and commercial projects are completed to the highest standards. Your expertise in interpreting construction plans, handling various hand and power tools, and working efficiently on-site will be vital to delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
• Perform framing tasks including metal stud framing, door hanging, window installation, and roof framing with attention to detail.
• Execute finishing work such as trim carpentry, cabinetry, siding, stucco application, caulking, and flooring installation.
• Assist with construction estimating by assessing materials needed and providing accurate cost evaluations.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently by practicing power tool safety and heavy lifting techniques.
• Support restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, rebar installation, roofing repairs, and general site cleanup.
• Fabricate custom wood components as required for fixtures or structural elements while adhering to safety standards.
• Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, moldings, siding panels, and other finishing elements with precision.
• Collaborate effectively with team members on-site to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, framing carpentry, and residential carpentry projects.
• Proficiency with hand tools including saws, hammers, chisels; power tools for woodworking; woodworking machines; metal stud framing equipment; and flooring installation tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices including power tool safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into tangible structures or installations.
• Experience working on diverse projects such as siding installation, restoration work (including water damage repair), fixture installation, stucco application, rebar placement for concrete work, roofing repairs, plastering, caulking applications, mold remediation support tasks, cabinet hanging or fabrication—plus general handyman skills.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights when necessary in a safe manner.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in finishing work like trim carpentry or door hanging.
• Construction experience in both commercial and residential settings is preferred; industry-specific restoration experience is a plus.
