We are looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our growing residential construction team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for long-term, consistent work with a business that values quality workmanship, reliability and a good team culture.

We have a strong pipeline of $1m+ residential projects and can offer ongoing work with no shortage of hours for the right person.

About the Role

With a Focus on high-end residential and boutique developments, you will be working across a variety of residential building projects with a small but high performing team. You will have the opportunity to work on some of Townsville’s most prestigious new build homes. Working with unique architectural finishes, there will be plenty of variety in your day-to-day tasks. Most importantly we are looking for someone with an eye for detail and who takes pride in their work. We work for clints that expect the best and we in turn expect our site team to produce quality work that you would want in your own home.

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in:

Understanding the lifecycle of a project from slab to finishes

Understanding how your work affects follow on trades

Interpreting and following construction drawings

Understanding and solving construction related problems

Set-out, Framing, and structural carpentry

Hanging doors and installing door hardware

Finishing carpentry, feature timber and cladding work

Decks, patios, external cladding and soffits

An interest in sharing your knowledge with those around you

The ability to work accurately and efficiently

Taking initiative, leading by example, and enjoying the work that you do

We are looking for someone who:

Is a trade qualified Carpenter with your own tools

Takes pride in their work

Is reliable, hardworking and punctual

Can work independently as well as part of a team

Has good communication skills

Has a current driver’s licence and reliable transport

Has a positive attitude and is willing to get in and help wherever required
