Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications
• Assist with erosion control measures to protect sites from environmental impact
• Operate power tools and equipment safely for tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling structures
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injury
• Maintain strict adherence to workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards and industrial safety protocols
• Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of tools and machinery
• Implement erosion control strategies and ensure proper installation of safety barriers and signage
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, or other structures safely while using appropriate fall protection measures such as respiratory protection when necessary

Experience

• Proven experience in industrial or commercial construction environments with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations
• Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and executing construction plans accurately
• Knowledge of erosion control practices and environmental safety measures on construction sites
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, maintenance, and operation of power tools
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards, including the implementation of safety regulations for heavy lifting, climbing, respiratory protection, and general site safety
• Ability to handle manual tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards in fast-paced settings
• Prior experience working with construction plans and technical drawings is highly preferred

Pay: $18.57 - $22.80 per hour
