Skilled Construction Laborer

We are an established, rapidly growing local company with over 8 years in business—and for the first time ever, we are opening up a dedicated position for a Skilled Construction Laborer / Drywall & Finishing Specialist!

If you are a seasoned tradesperson who takes pride in your craftsmanship, doesn’t need to be micromanaged, and knows how to figure things out on the job site, we want you on our team. In this role, you will handle finishing touches, drywall work, and a wide variety of changing project needs that require you to adapt, learn quickly, and solve problems on the fly.

We need a proactive problem-solver who can look at a punch list, grab the right tools, and get the job done efficiently to the highest standard while helping us fuel our next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Drywall Finishing: Execute high-quality drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, sanding, and blending textures seamlessly.
• Painting & Touch-Ups: Apply interior/exterior paints and perform detail-oriented surface prep and finish work.
• Diverse Project Execution: Tackle a wide variety of construction tasks and miscellaneous repairs, adapting quickly to new challenges and job site requirements.
• Independent Problem Solving: Assess situations on-site, learn new techniques as needed, and execute work autonomously with minimal oversight or "babysitting."
• Site Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to all job-site safety guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Drywall & Painting Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience with taping, mudding, sanding, and painting.
• General Construction Background: Well-versed in a wide range of trades, tools, and general building repairs with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
• Independence & Reliability: A true self-starter who can manage their time wisely, take initiative, and work autonomously.
• Tools & Transportation: Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and standard hand/power tools for daily trade work.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, handle repetitive motion (sanding/painting), and lift materials safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Day shift

License/Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (Required)

Location: Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas (Required)

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
