General Laborer – Full-Time

About NAJO

NAJO provides handyman, renovation, and construction services throughout New York City and Westchester County. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking General Laborer to join our growing team and assist with a variety of construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.

The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and willing to learn while supporting our field crews and helping ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist construction crews with daily job-site activities and project tasks.
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Assist with demolition, cleanup, and debris removal.
• Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople as needed.
• Help with basic construction, renovation, and repair tasks.
• Prepare work areas and materials for installation and construction.
• Follow instructions from foremen and project managers.
• Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Communicate professionally with team members and management.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or general labor experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying materials, standing, and bending for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn new skills and assist with a variety of construction tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to job-site safety and maintaining a professional work environment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites throughout NYC and Westchester County preferred.
