Skilled General Operative

Due to a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for an experienced Skilled General Operative to join our site team.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support the delivery of live projects across new build, extension, refurbishment and fit-out works.

Key responsibilities:

• General site works, including groundworks, drainage, kerbing and paving
• Setting out and preparation for following trades
• Formwork, concrete pours, finishing and blockwork support
• Operating small plant and equipment safely and competently
• Loading, unloading and distributing materials around site
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised site, including traffic management and segregation
• Installing and maintaining temporary works, hoarding and edge protection
• Following RAMS, attending toolbox talks and reporting hazards or near misses
• Supporting subcontractors and the site management team as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Operative on commercial or civil sites
• Valid Safe Pass (essential)
• Manual Handling certificate (essential)
• CSCS tickets are a strong advantage, for example Slinger/Signaller, Telescopic Handler, 360° Excavator, Site Dumper or Roller
• Working at Heights, Abrasive Wheels, MEWP/IPAF or Confined Space training is desirable
• Full clean driving licence and own transport (essential)
• Good working knowledge of site safety and construction sequencing
• Reliable, punctual and able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
• Good spoken English to understand site instructions and safety briefings

Pay: €14.15-€21.51 per hour
