Job Title: Skilled Laborer (Cleaning)

Location: Dahlonega, GA

Shifts: 1****st and 2****nd

Starting Rate: $16/hr

MAJOR PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:

Clean aluminum dock parts and support platform work in the Cleaning Department. Positions range from entry-level material cleaning to platform work that requires power tool skills.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Material Cleaner: clean aluminum dock parts by brushing and wiping them down with glass cleaner.
• Platforms: use power tools to work on platforms and decking frames.
• Lift, move, and stage aluminum parts before and after cleaning.
• Inspect parts and double-check work before it moves to the next step.
• Keep the work area safe and clean by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Use equipment and materials efficiently to keep waste down.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors and co-workers.
• Support the team by taking on related work as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Production environment with risk of injury. Safety equipment must be worn.
• Standing, bending, and repetitive arm motion for most of the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Material Cleaner: No experience required.
• Must be able to handle steady, repetitive physical work.
• Experience with power tools preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or construction setting is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
