Skilled Laborer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Yard and Processing Laborer to join our operation. In this dynamic role, you will be integral to the recycling process, providing support and quality assurance. This is not an entry level general laborer position. We are looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and capable of being given a task and seeing it through independently.

Scrap metal or recycling experience IS NOT required, we can teach the industry. We are looking for someone who is trainable, retains knowledge, is a problem solver, and will be a dependable part of our operation. Pay scale is reflective of experience and capabilities, with the potential for performance bonuses and raises at three and 6 months.

THE POSITION:

This is a hands-on physical position with a variety of responsibilities throughout our facility.

*Sorting and identifying different types of metals and materials

*Assisting with day-to-day operations in our processing plant

* Weighing and assisting customer accounts

*Operating equipment as experience and training allow

*General operation duties including processing, loading, and clean-up to ensure daily flow

Qualifications

Equipment experience is preferred but not required if the individual demonstrates a willingness to learn and can follow all safety protocols.

*Comfortable working in a physical, outdoor, industrial environment, and ability to lift 50 pounds

*Show up daily 7:00AM to 4:00 PM Monday thru Friday, ready to work individually or as part of the team with minimal supervision

*Follow instructions to complete requested tasks and retains knowledge to apply to similar tasks in the future

*Takes pride in doing a job correctly and represent the business in a professional manner

*Desire and willingness to further skills and expand duties in different areas of the business

*Safety minded and situational awareness

* A skill set that demonstrates motivation, drive, and desire for career advancement

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
