Skilled Labourer – Custom Timber & Deck Builds

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated, dependable Skilled Labourer specializing in custom timber and deck construction to join our local crew. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting on-site builds and transforming design concepts into stunning, functional outdoor living spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead carpenters with layout, material staging, rough cutting, and framing for custom decks, pergolas, and outdoor structures.
• Safely and efficiently operate core site hand tools and power tools (circular saws, chop saws, drills/drivers).
• Assist with site prep, concrete forming, digging, and footing work as needed.
• Support finish work, including sanding, staining, sealing, and clean site installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work site and adhere to WorkSafeBC safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on residential construction and/or carpentry labour experience.
• Tool Proficiency: Confident, safe operation of standard job-site power tools and hand tools.
• Physical Capability: Physically fit, able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
• Transport: Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and reliable transport to get to local job sites on time.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, drama-free, proactive, and keen to learn.
