Skilled Labourers required with Site Safe

About the role

NZ Labour Hire Group is seeking Skilled Labourers to join our team on a short-termbasis in the Whanganui region. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your practical skills and experience in a dynamic and varied working environment. As a Skilled Labourer, you will be assigned to different projects and sites, contributing your expertise to ensure quality workmanship and project success. This role offers flexibility and the chance to work across diverse sectors within the trades and services industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing skilled manual labour tasks across various construction and trades projects
2. Preparing and maintaining work sites, ensuring safety standards are consistently met
3. Having a current Site Safe qualification.
4. Following project specifications and instructions from supervisors and team leads
5. Assisting with material handling, lifting and transporting equipment and supplies
6. Supporting experienced tradespeople and contributing to team objectives
7. Maintaining accurate records of work completed and time spent on site
8. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in skilled labour, construction, or related trades work

2. Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements within construction and trades environments

3. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour duties consistently

4. Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality

5. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team

6. Willingness to work flexibly across different sites and project types

7. A valid driver's licence is advantageous for some contract positions

8. A Site Safe card would be a bonus, but it can be obtained if selected.
