Skilled Trades Worker (Construction)

Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Skilled Trades Worker to join our construction and property maintenance team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, has experience across multiple construction trades, and takes pride in completing quality work.

The Skilled Trades Worker will perform a variety of renovation, repair, maintenance, and construction projects at residential properties throughout the Capital Region.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction, renovation, and property repair work
• Carpentry, framing, trim, doors, and general woodwork
• Install and repair flooring, including laminate and vinyl plank
• Drywall installation, patching, finishing, and painting
• Perform plumbing repairs and fixture replacements
• Perform electrical repairs
• Kitchen and bathroom renovations
• Install cabinets, countertops, vanities, and fixtures
• Repair and replace doors, windows, hardware, and locks
• Perform exterior repairs
• Troubleshoot maintenance and construction issues
• Safely operate power tools and construction equipment
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
• Travel between job sites as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, remodeling, property maintenance, or skilled trades
• Strong knowledge of common construction tools and techniques
• Experience in multiple trades is strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials and equipment
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, tenants, vendors, and property managers

Compensation & Benefits

• $24.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
• 40 hours of paid sick time
• 80 hours of paid time off (PTO)
• Travel/mileage reimbursement

We are looking for someone who is well-rounded in the trades and can handle projects from basic repairs to larger renovations. Candidates with experience in carpentry, flooring, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, and apartment turnovers are encouraged to apply.
