At Routeco, our Operations & Logistics teams play a vital role in delivering the high-quality products and services our customers rely on. As a Skilled Wireperson, your work will help ensure assemblies and control panels are built accurately, safely and efficiently to meet customer specifications and agreed timescales.

• ️****What you’ll be doing

• Build low-voltage assemblies and first-off control panels to customer specifications, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

• Complete builds within agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and safety.

• Maintain job packs and associated paperwork, produce labels and provide build feedback to the Engineering team.

• Work collaboratively across departments to improve manufacturing efficiency and support apprentices’ development.

• Take ownership of additional departmental or project tasks and your ongoing personal development.

What do you need to bring to Routeco?

• Required: Previous practical wiring experience, with broad knowledge of wiring, fitting and sub-assembly best practice.
• Required: Ability to read and work accurately from electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
• Required: A methodical, precise approach, with the persistence to complete work to a high standard in a structured environment.
• Required: GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent, together with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Desirable: An Electrical Craft Apprenticeship and the ability to provide practical solutions to engineering problems.
